Registration for the second edition of the online course Art in the BNCC will open on Wednesday (30), aimed at art teachers from the public school system all over the country, seeking to promote transformation in education through art and the classroom as a space for intervention and research.

Developed by the Arte na Escola Institute, in partnership with Instituto AIPI and the support by the printing and writing paper brand Chamex, the training was a success in its first edition last year. The course provides strategies for the teacher to understand the Basic National Common Curriculum (BNCC) in practice, with visual arts and real art education projects, conducted by award-winning teachers in Brazilian schools, as a point of perspective.

Classes will start on July 28th, with a completion period of up to 4 months, and the 1,500 selected educators can start working on the course modules at any time, at their own pace, since Art in the BNCC is a self-instructional training course. The learning path brings together exclusive videos, interactive resources, documentaries and supplementary materials, and is divided into four modules: Mapping Art in the BNCC, Creation Processes, Materiality and Interlacing the BNCC and the Territories of Art.

With the purpose to encourage teachers and awaken their creativity even more, Chamex will send kits for the professionals to use in classrooms, to the first 100 teachers who finish module 1 of the course.

Teachers interested in the Art in the BNCC course should access www.artenaescola.org.br/cursos/bncc to register for free. Those who complete the full learning track will receive certification from the Arte na Escola Institute. And remember that places are limited with registration closing July 13.
