About the Sylvamo Generation Program

The program is an extension of the social projects carried out by Instituto Chamex since 2010, aimed at youngsters in a situation of social vulnerability. Aiming to strengthen the project and create new strategies to further improve the performance of citizens impacted by it, in 2022 the program joined with SENAI and incorporated a new teaching format. From this partnership and the implemented innovations, the project – which until 2021 was called “Escola Formare” –was changed to “Sylvamo Generation Program”.

Designing, fostering and improving programs like this make Instituto Chamex fulfill its mission to promote education, knowledge, and professional training for young Brazilians, generating opportunities, proposing better citizenship, and contributing both to the development of local communities and society as a whole: “The project develops and prepares young people to enter the job market, and enhances their role as more active citizens in society and in the communities where they live and work. The program also strengthens the objective of Instituto Chamex to enable a new future for young people in the creative economy, placing creativity as a central element to build a more accessible, inclusive, equitable, and transformative education ”, remarks Mariana Claudio, Executive Manager of Instituto Chamex.
