Registration will be open until September 10th, 2021

This Tuesday, June 1st, the AIPI Institute opened the registration for the newest edition of the Writing Contest with the theme “How can books contribute to education in Brazil and be transforming agents in teaching and in society? Registration will be open until September 10th.

The initiative, which aims to encourage young students to transform their realities through education, reaches its 46th edition in 2021 with a new feature: now, in addition to the grand national winner, each state and the Federal District will also have a local writing winner.

The contest, of national reach, is a partnership with Redação Online supported by the printing and writing paper brand Chamex, covering all 26 states and the Federal District with specific video classes on how to redact the essay for the National High School Exam (ENEM). The materials will prepare regular high school students from state and municipal public schools through an online platform, to which they will get access after registering for the contest. For Mariana Claudio, Executive Manager of the AIPI Institute, the action strengthens the importance of improving the students’ ability to analyze the society critically and this becoming active citizens and agents of change.

The 27 winners from states and the federal capital will be awarded with a R$500.00 shopping voucher and will participate in an online panel where they will present their references, intentions, and perspectives on the theme so that the grand national winner can be chosen – receiving a R$1,500.00 shopping voucher for school supplies. The first 100 winners will win a one-year lesson plan from Redação Online. The three schools with the greatest number of students enrolled in the contest will receive 10 boxes of Chamex A4 paper from International Paper and educational books valued at up to R$ 5,000. Finally, the 20 teachers with the highest number of enrolled students in the contest will receive training to correct their essays according to the ENEM model and a R$300 shopping voucher each to buy new books and school material.
