Through the partnership with Grupo +Unidos, we are implementing an innovation room at the EMEF Professora Zilda Aparecida Marinho Seixas school, in Luís Antônio, SP. The room will be used by students from Primary School I and Primary School II.
The project consolidates training in technology and innovation for public school students, who will have contact with robotics practices, culture maker, programming, among others. The initiative also aims at training teachers enabling them to work in the innovation space.
“Our role is to support the education system in practice and enable a new future for young talents in our communities through creative and innovative teaching formats. The objective of the project is to democratize access to technology and innovation, promoting more opportunities for students in the region”, states Mariana Claudio, executive manager at Instituto Chamex.
“We are very happy with this partnership between +Unidos, Instituto Chamex and the Township of Luiz Antônio for yet another education project linked to innovation. We believe that technology is a powerful tool for boosting learning and preparing young people for their future challenges,” says Daniel Grynberg, executive director of the +Unidos Group.
The inauguration date is scheduled for April 2024 and the planning of the space enjoys consultancy by the city’s technology teacher Débora Garofalo, who conceived and implemented the Robotics with Scrap initiative, known nationally and internationally.
“The Township, together with the Department of Education, expresses its deepest gratitude to the +Unidos Group and Instituto Chamex for the partnership to create the Innovation Room. This unique space in the region aims to inspire students to explore the new and think differently when faced with educational challenges. Moreover, these environments boost technological skills, entailing greater student engagement and a genuine pleasure in learning. Because they are playful spaces, they stimulate creativity, bringing countless benefits and focusing on the essential skills to train citizens to be prepared for present and future challenges. This initiative strengthens active methodologies and fosters collaboration between students, interdisciplinarity and STEAM teaching, promoting student protagonism. Innovation in education is a path to a promising future and this partnership contributes significantly to the progress of our educational community,” states Vanessa Rosatti Marques, Secretary of Education and First Lady.
